Bioshock Infinite: All Vigors Gameplay

Bioshock Infinite attempts to add some variety to your every day FPS gameplay with the introduction of Vigors, which are this games equivalent to Plasmids from the previous iterations.

Vigors are effectively super powers that allow the user to turn the tide in battle, and take control of a situation that would otherwise overwhelm them. There are a total of 8 different Vigors, each of which have two functions - a quick use function (at the press of a button), and a trap function (by holding the button).

For a complete look at all 8 Vigors, check out the video below:

Arekkz Gaming: Bioshock Infinite Review

Bioshock Infinite - quite possibly one of the biggest games this year. After the long development cycle, the game finally sees the light of day - the question is, does it live up to the hype?

The game is breathtaking to behold, and a welcome change from the sea of brown that most shooters have adopted this generation. Some really inventive gameplay mechanics, and characters that are not only believable, but engaging, make this one game you cannot afford to miss.

Gears of War Judgement - New Weapons

Gears of War Judgement introduces a variety of new weapons for the player to take advantage of, each with its own unique playstyle.

Markza: This is a semi-automatic sniper rifle with a scope that allows the player to fire rapidly, with precision. The Markza isn't as powerful as the COG Longshot, however the trade-off is the speed as which it can unload rounds.

Breechshot: This is a Locust sniper rifle, with a twist - it has no scope. Fans of no-scope headshots will like this one, simply because the only way to use it, is like a regular gun given the lack of scope. It fires faster than the Longshot, but not quite as fast as the Markza - it pauses momentarily between each shot.

Booshka: This is a grenade launcher with the added ability to bounce the rounds off walls. The player can use this to shoot at enemies hiding round corners if they can plan out the correct trajectory.

Stim-Gas Grenades: These new grenades allow the player to heal themselves, and their team mates by simply throwing a grenade at their feet.

Spot Grenade: This grenade can be used to scan the area for enemies that might be hiding around the corner.

Gears of War Judgement Review

Gears of War Judgement, the latest instalment in the popular franchise, launches around the world this week - in America on Tuesday the 19th, and Europe on Friday 22nd.

Judgement is set years before the events of the original "Gears of War" trilogy, and centres on Kilo Squad, a troop of soldiers led by Damon Baird and Augustus 'Cole Train' Cole. They are joined by newcomers to the "Gears" series, Sofia Hendrick and Garron Paduk, as they attempt to save the besieged city of Halvo Bay from a terrifying new enemy.

Throughout the game the player takes control of all 4 of the team members as each of them tells their part of the story. This fits perfectly into the way the new game is broken up - Judgement has a more Arcade-like feel to it, with each story arc being broken up into small sub-sections, or areas, and the player is ranked at the end of each of these areas.
